Shooting Musicians

Recently I had the opportunity to photograph Los Angeles-based singing sensation Cindy Gomez.  Cindy, the latest artist from producers Dave Stewart and Glen Ballard, is an extremely beautiful woman with a fantastic voice.

Jeff Martin, the former front man for The Tea Party and now with his new group The Armada, dropped by the studio for a shoot a few weeks back.  This was a great opportunity to photograph one of Canada’s most talented musicians.  I plan on using one of the portraits in an upcoming show of mine that’s in the works.  As well as a great shoot, Jeff gave us an impromptu concert and performed a number of songs for us acoustically.  The energy in the studio that evening was amazing!

I recently directed a music video for one of the coolest bands I know – Playdeaf.  The project is in post production right now but as it’s finished and released I’ll publish a link.

Collective Ventures

Not that long ago I joined the roster of directors at Atomic Clock Cinematic Arts.  Aligning myself as a director with a talented group like Atomic Clock was an easy decision:   they produce great work and I’m looking forward to making future contributions.

Also, I’ve co-founded a new photograhers collective called “Call Kendo” – I’ll post more information about this
