Working with a corps of twelve beauty contestants, Noto explores a more revealing expression of the temporal nature of beauty. One that transcends the forced stylization and asphyxiation of the media machine. The result is a photo-narrative in which interior and exterior switch roles and human frailty normally guarded and hidden within is brought startlingly to the surface.
We have been working in-depth with these images for a long time, and cannot wait for it to be displayed on the walls of the gallery.
